Discovery of Mate
Maté comes from an ancestral Native American plant. Mate is a popular drink in Latin America, it is obtained by roasting, drying and infusing the leaves of this plant in boiling water, or milk according to tradition. Known for its benefits, the infusion of mate leaves is drunk in a mate cup using a “la bombilla” filter straw. Mate is a drink with a relatively bitter and unique taste, it is often surprising when you drink it for the first time but quickly learn to appreciate it.

Rich in antioxidants, promoting muscle and intellectual tone, this infusion acts on the human body as an ultra-powerful 100% natural stimulant. Mate offers multiple benefits for the body: an ally of well-being par excellence.

Source of vitamins, mate is rich in vitamins (A, B1, B2, B5, C and E), tannins, matein (equivalent to caffeine), minerals and trace elements (iron, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium). A set of active ingredients that help stimulate the body. Mate leaves contain a large number of antioxidants, helping to reduce the damage caused by free radicals, responsible for cell aging.

Benefits

Promotes weight loss:

By acting on the body as a natural appetite stabilizer, mate helps promote digestion by regulating intestinal function. The toxins present in the human body are easily eliminated thanks to the diuretic properties of the plant, the organism is thus detoxified in a natural way.

Anti-fatigue / Stimulates:

Renowned for its stimulating properties, mate is the ideal substitute for coffee and tea.

Also for comparison, 8g of dried yerba mate leaves provide the body with between 70 mg and 90 mg of caffeine, a little more than a cup of tea (30 to 50 mg) and a little less than a coffee. (75mg to 180mg).

Thus, with a caffeine level of up to 90 mg (approximately 1%), this infusion effectively combats fatigue and promotes concentration, without providing the side effects of coffee (no presence of alkaloids). Matein naturally stimulates the nervous system and is therefore a perfect ally for any physical and intellectual effort.

Vigilance, cognitive abilities and concentration are thus increased in the short term. A natural aid to fight against drowsiness and falling asleep.

Helps fight stress and depression:

The energy contribution of mate has a profound effect on the emotional health of the consumer, a real natural antidepressant.

Antioxidant :

Mate is naturally very rich in antioxidants.
Antioxidants trap free radicals, responsible for cellular aging.

Below is a comparison between Mate and green tea, which is also rich in antioxidants
Green tea: 2701 ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity)
Yerba Mate: 5102 ORAC
ORAC: measures the ability of antioxidants to scavenge harmful free radicals.
